| Description | Balanophonin B, also known as 4-ketopinoresinol or 4-KPR, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan lactones. These are lignans that contain a lactone moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones, dibenzylbutyrolactone lignans, and podophyllotoxins, among others. balanophonin B is found in Aralia bipinnata, Coix lacryma-jobi, Diospyros maritima, Hibiscus cannabinus, Lithocarpus pachylepis, Melicope semecarpifolia and Sida acuta. balanophonin B was first documented in 2013 (Ma, G., et al.). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Balanophonin B. |
