| Description | (2S,6S,8S,9R,10Z,11aS)-2-Hydroxy-3,6,10-trimethyl-8-methoxy-9,11a-epoxy-2,6,7,8,9,11a-hexahydrocyclodeca[b]furan-4(5H)-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as ketals. These are acetals derived from ketones by replacement of the oxo group by two hydrocarbyloxy groups R2C(OR)2 ( R not Hydrogen ). This term, once abandoned, has been reinstated as a subclass of acetals. 1beta,8beta-epoxy-2alpha-methoxy-12alpha-hydroxy-6-oxogermacra-9(10),7(11+ is found in Commiphora opobalsamum. 1beta,8beta-epoxy-2alpha-methoxy-12alpha-hydroxy-6-oxogermacra-9(10),7(11+ was first documented in 2012 (Yang, J.-L., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S,6S,8S,9R,10Z,11aS)-2-Hydroxy-3,6,10-trimethyl-8-methoxy-9,11a-epoxy-2,6,7,8,9,11a-hexahydrocyclodeca[b]furan-4(5H)-one. |
