| Description | Rel-(-)-(7S,7'R,8S,8'R)-4,4'-dihydroxy-3,3',5'-trimethoxy-7,7'-epoxylignan is a secondary metabolite. Secondary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically non-essential metabolites that may serve a role as defense or signalling molecules. In some cases they are simply molecules that arise from the incomplete metabolism of other secondary metabolites. (-)-(7S,7'R,8S,8'R)-4,4'-dihydroxy-3,3',5'-trimethoxy-7,7'-epoxylignan is found in Machilus robusta, Machilus thunbergii, Myristica fragrans and Myristica fragrans HOUTT. . (-)-(7S,7'R,8S,8'R)-4,4'-dihydroxy-3,3',5'-trimethoxy-7,7'-epoxylignan was first documented in 2011 (Li, Y., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on rel-(-)-(7S,7'R,8S,8'R)-4,4'-dihydroxy-3,3',5'-trimethoxy-7,7'-epoxylignan. |
