| Description | (2R)-2-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-3-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzofurans. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring fused to a furan. Furan is a five-membered aromatic ring with four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. 2-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylbenzofuran-3(2H)-one is found in Eupatorium cannabinum. 2-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylbenzofuran-3(2H)-one was first documented in 2011 (Chen, J. -J., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2R)-2-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-3-one. |
