Description7,8,12-Trimethoxy-3,5,10-trioxatetracyclo[7.7.0.0²,⁶.0¹¹,¹⁶]Hexadeca-1,6,8,11(16),12,14-hexaene belongs to the class of organic compounds known as dibenzofurans. Dibenzofurans are compounds containing a dibenzofuran moiety, which consists of two benzene rings fused to a central furan ring. 1,2-methylenedioxy-3,4,6-trimethoxydibenzofuran is found in Rhaphiolepis indica. 1,2-methylenedioxy-3,4,6-trimethoxydibenzofuran was first documented in 2010 (Lin, C. -H., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7,8,12-trimethoxy-3,5,10-trioxatetracyclo[7.7.0.0²,⁶.0¹¹,¹⁶]Hexadeca-1,6,8,11(16),12,14-hexaene.
