Description 1-(3-carbonylbutyl)purine-6,8-dione is found in Subergorgia suberosa. 1-(3-carbonylbutyl)purine-6,8-dione was first documented in 2008 (Qi, S. -H., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 8-hydroxy-1-(3-oxobutyl)-6,9-dihydro-1H-purin-6-one.
