Dibenzoxepines are compounds containing a dibenzoxepine moiety, which consists of two benzene connected by an oxazepine ring. bauhinoxepin E is found in Bauhinia purpurea. bauhinoxepin E was first documented in 2007 (Boonphong, S., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4,6-dimethoxy-5-methyl-2-oxatricyclo[9.4.0.0³,⁸]Pentadeca-1(15),3,5,7,11,13-hexaene-7,12-diol.
