| Description | Isorhamnetin 3-O-alpha-L-[6''''-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->2)-rhamnopyranoside] belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Isorhamnetin 3-O-alpha-L-[6''''-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->2)-rhamnopyranoside] is a secondary metabolite. Secondary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically non-essential metabolites that may serve a role as defense or signalling molecules. In some cases they are simply molecules that arise from the incomplete metabolism of other secondary metabolites. isorhamnetin 3-O-alpha-L-[6'''-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-2)-rh+ is found in Ginkgo biloba. isorhamnetin 3-O-alpha-L-[6'''-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-2)-rh+ was first documented in 2001 (Tang, Y., et al.). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on isorhamnetin 3-O-alpha-L-[6''''-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->2)-rhamnopyranoside]. |
