Description3-Hydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-1,4,5,8-tetrahydroanthracene-1,4,5-trione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as anthraquinones. These are organic compounds containing either anthracene-9,10-quinone, 1,4-anthraquinone, or 1,2-anthraquinone. 3-hydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-8H-antracen-1,4,5-trione is found in Byrsonima microphylla. 3-hydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-8H-antracen-1,4,5-trione was first documented in 2005 (Aguiar, R. M., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-hydroxy-2-methoxy-8,8,10-trimethyl-1,4,5,8-tetrahydroanthracene-1,4,5-trione.
