Description(1R,3S,4aS,8aS)-3-hydroxy-5,5,8a-trimethyl-2-methylidene-decahydronaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclic alcohols and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing an aliphatic ring substituted with at least one hydroxyl group. laricinolic acid is found in Fomitopsis officinalis and Stereum ostrea. It was first documented in 2006 (Kim, Y.-H., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,3S,4aS,8aS)-3-hydroxy-5,5,8a-trimethyl-2-methylidene-decahydronaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid.
