Description 8-carboxymethyl-1,6-dihydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyxanthone is found in Leiothrix curvifolia. 8-carboxymethyl-1,6-dihydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyxanthone was first documented in 2001 (Santos, L. C., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl 3,8-dihydroxy-4,6-dimethoxy-9-oxo-9H-xanthene-1-carboxylate.
