Description2-Methyl-3-[(2E,6E)-3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-trien-1-yl]-1,4-dihydroquinolin-4-one is a primary metabolite. Primary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically essential metabolites. They are directly involved in an organism’s growth, development or reproduction. Aurachin D is found in Stigmatella and Stigmatella aurantiaca Sg a15. It was first documented in 1987 (PMID: 3106289). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-methyl-3-[(2E,6E)-3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-trien-1-yl]-1,4-dihydroquinolin-4-one.
