Description(2E,4E)-5-[(1R,4R,4aS,6S,8R,8aR)-4-hydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-2,8-dimethyl-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]penta-2,4-dienoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 4 and 12 carbon atoms. Tanzawaic acid H is found in Penicillium citrinum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2E,4E)-5-[(1R,4R,4aS,6S,8R,8aR)-4-hydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-2,8-dimethyl-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]penta-2,4-dienoic acid.
