Description6-Methylheptane-1,2,3,4,5-pentaol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as fatty alcohols. These are aliphatic alcohols consisting of a chain of a least six carbon atoms. 6-methylheptane-1,2,3,4,5-pentaol is found in Lentinus polychrous. 6-methylheptane-1,2,3,4,5-pentaol was first documented in 2013 (PMID: 23163256). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-methylheptane-1,2,3,4,5-pentaol (PMID: 23949212).
