Description(3AS,5aR,6R,8aS)-8a-hydroxy-6-[(2R,5R)-6-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-6-methylhept-3-en-2-yl]-5a-methyl-2H,3aH,4H,5H,5aH,6H,7H,8H,8aH-indeno[5,4-b]furan-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene lactones. These are prenol lipids containing a lactone ring. Phellinignincisterol A is found in Phellinus igniarius. It was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 20583752). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3aS,5aR,6R,8aS)-8a-hydroxy-6-[(2R,5R)-6-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-6-methylhept-3-en-2-yl]-5a-methyl-2H,3aH,4H,5H,5aH,6H,7H,8H,8aH-indeno[5,4-b]furan-2-one.
