Description(1R,4S,4aS,8aS)-4-hydroxy-3,4-bis(hydroxymethyl)-4a,8,8-trimethyl-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl (2E,4E,6E)-octa-2,4,6-trienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as fatty acid esters. These are carboxylic ester derivatives of a fatty acid. Ustusolate A is found in Aspergillus and Aspergillus ustus. Ustusolate A was first documented in 2009 (PMID: 19769341). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,4S,4aS,8aS)-4-hydroxy-3,4-bis(hydroxymethyl)-4a,8,8-trimethyl-1,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl (2E,4E,6E)-octa-2,4,6-trienoate.
