Description5-Hydroxy-2-(2-hydroxy-6-methoxy-4-methylbenzoyl)-3-methoxybenzoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzophenones. These are organic compounds containing a ketone attached to two phenyl groups. Rhizoctonic acid is found in Cynodon dactylon, Hopea hainanensis and Rhizoctonia sp.. Rhizoctonic acid was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15261382). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5-hydroxy-2-(2-hydroxy-6-methoxy-4-methylbenzoyl)-3-methoxybenzoic acid.
