Description Monascopyridine A is found in Monascus purpureus. Monascopyridine A was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 12926903). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3R,3aS,9aS)-3-hexanoyl-9a-methyl-6-[(1E)-prop-1-en-1-yl]-2H,3H,3aH,4H,9H,9aH-furo[3,2-g]isoquinoline-2,9-dione (PMID: 28239868) (PMID: 16598808).
