Description Azaspirene is found in Neosartorya sp. Azaspirene was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 12182570). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (5R,8R,9R)-8-benzyl-2-[(1E,3E)-hexa-1,3-dien-1-yl]-6,8,9-trihydroxy-3-methyl-1-oxa-7-azaspiro[4.4]Nona-2,6-dien-4-one.
