Description Epolactaene is found in Penicillium and Penicillium sp. BM1689-P. Epolactaene was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 11960746). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl (2E,3E,5E,9E)-11-{2,4-dihydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxa-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]Hex-2-en-1-yl}-2-ethylidene-4,10-dimethyl-11-oxoundeca-3,5,9-trienoate.
