Description(6E)-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-7-(2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)hept-6-enoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain hydroxy acids and derivatives. These are hydroxy acids with a 6 to 12 carbon atoms long side chain. (6E)-3,5-Dihydroxy-6-methyl-7-(2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)-6-heptenoic acid is found in Sorangium cellulosum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (6E)-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-7-(2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)hept-6-enoic acid.
