Description Dihydrosphaerolone is found in Daldinia, Daldinia eschscholtzii and Sphaeropsidales sp.strain F-24'707. Dihydrosphaerolone was first documented in 2000 (PMID: 10963453). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7,13,15,17-tetrahydroxy-12-oxapentacyclo[11.8.0.0²,¹¹.0³,⁸.0¹⁶,²¹]Henicosa-1,3(8),4,6,10,16(21),17,19-octaen-9-one.
