Description(2E,4E)-4,6-dimethyldodeca-2,4-dienoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 4 and 12 carbon atoms. (6S)-4,6-Dimethyldodeca-2E,4E-dienoic AC is found in Phomopsis sp. It was first documented in 1999 (PMID: 10604755). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2E,4E)-4,6-dimethyldodeca-2,4-dienoic acid.
