Naphthopyrans are compounds containing a pyran ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 6 membered-ring non-aromatic ring with five carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. Oidiolactone D is found in Oidiodendron, Oidiodendron griseum CL37215 and Oidiodendron truncatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2R,4S,5R,10S,14S,17R)-5-hydroxy-10,14-dimethyl-3,6,16-trioxapentacyclo[8.6.1.0²,⁴.0⁴,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁷]Heptadec-8-ene-7,15-dione.
