Description7-Epi-alpha-eudesmol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as eudesmane, isoeudesmane or cycloeudesmane sesquiterpenoids. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the eudesmane skeleton. 2-[(2s,4ar,8ar)-4a,8-dimethyl-2,3,4,5,6,8a-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-2-yl]propan-2-ol is found in Callicarpa americana and Laggera alata. 2-[(2s,4ar,8ar)-4a,8-dimethyl-2,3,4,5,6,8a-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-2-yl]propan-2-ol was first documented in 2000 (PMID: 10898657). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on 7-epi-alpha-eudesmol.
