Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. (2r,3r,4s,5r,6r)-2-{[(1r,3as,3bs,5ar,7s,9as,9br,11ar)-3a-hydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(5-oxo-2h-furan-3-yl)-tetradecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-3-yl acetate is found in Adenium obesum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2R,3R,4S,5R,6R)-5-hydroxy-2-{[(1R,2S,5S,7R,10S,11S,14R,15R)-11-hydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-14-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecan-5-yl]oxy}-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-3-yl acetate. |
