DescriptionVermiculine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as macrolides and analogues. These are organic compounds containing a lactone ring of at least twelve members. (11e)-8,16-bis(2-oxopropyl)-1,9-dioxacyclohexadeca-3,11-diene-2,5,10,13-tetrone is found in Talaromyces flavus. (11e)-8,16-bis(2-oxopropyl)-1,9-dioxacyclohexadeca-3,11-diene-2,5,10,13-tetrone was first documented in 2019 (PMID: 30672028). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Vermiculine (PMID: 34124819).
