DescriptionN-jasmonoyl-l-dopa belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tyrosine and derivatives. Tyrosine and derivatives are compounds containing tyrosine or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of tyrosine at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. Thus, N-jasmonoyl-L-dopa is considered to be an octadecanoid. (2s)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-({1-hydroxy-2-[(1r,2r)-3-oxo-2-[(2z)-pent-2-en-1-yl]cyclopentyl]ethylidene}amino)propanoic acid is found in Vicia faba. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on N-jasmonoyl-l-dopa.
