| Description | (+)-Sigmosceptrellin A methyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as colensane and clerodane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the clerodane or the colensane skeleton. Clerodanes arise from labdanes by two methyl migrations. methyl (2r)-2-[(3r,6r)-6-{2-[(1r,2s,4as,8as)-1,2,4a-trimethyl-5-methylidene-hexahydro-2h-naphthalen-1-yl]ethyl}-6-methyl-1,2-dioxan-3-yl]propanoate is found in Diacarnus bismarckensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (+)-Sigmosceptrellin A methyl ester. |
