| Description | (2S)-8-[5-(3,7-dihydroxy-5,6-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)-2-hydroxyphenyl]-2-methyloctyl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonols. Flavonols are compounds that contain a flavone (2-phenyl-1-benzopyran-4-one) backbone carrying a hydroxyl group at the 3-position. (+)-3,7,4'-Trihydroxy-3'-(8''-acetoxy-7''-methyloctyl)-5,6-dimethoxyflavone is found in Duranta erecta and Duranta repens. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S)-8-[5-(3,7-dihydroxy-5,6-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)-2-hydroxyphenyl]-2-methyloctyl acetate. |
