| Description | Zephyranthine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lycorine-type amaryllidaceae alkaloids. These are amaryllidaceae alkaloids compounds containing the lycorine skeleton, made up of a pyrrolo[d,e]phenanthridine ring system. Zephyranthine is found in Crinum kirkii, Cyrtanthus elatus and Zephyranthes candida. Zephyranthine was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15200317). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Zephyranthine (PMID: 34349919) (PMID: 28474489) (PMID: 16958534). |
