These are steroids containing a cycloartanol moiety. cycloartenol acetate is found in Achillea fragrantissima, Adenophora stricta, Artemisia argyi, Artemisia rubripes, Artocarpus chama, Bryonia dioica, Euphorbia nicaeensis, Euphorbia oxyphylla, Euphorbia piscatoria, Euphorbia segetalis, Ficus macrophylla, Goniophlebium mengtzeense, Ixeris chinensis, Ligularia veitchiana, Mangifera indica, Neolitsea sericea, Oryza sativa L., Pleopeltis polypodioides, Polypodium vulgare and Zea mays. It was first documented in 2011 (Ito, R., et al.). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Cycloartenol acetate.
